Founded on February 12, 1909, the NAACP is the baddest, the boldest, the oldest, and the most fearless civil rights organization in the nation. With more than half a million members and supporters across the United States and the world, the NAACP continues to lead the charge for justice—organizing grassroots campaigns, protecting voting rights, and fighting for equity in every sphere of American life.
Our mission is clear and uncompromising: to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all people, and to eliminate race-based discrimination wherever it exists.
The St. Petersburg | Lower Pinellas County Branch proudly advances this legacy in our own backyard—building bridges, demanding justice, and uplifting the voices of our community.
To tackle the most pressing issues facing Black communities, the NAACP has defined six bold “Game Changers” that drive our national and local work:
Join us. Stand with us. Move with us.
Because when we move together—we change everything.
